I am an aspiring sports PR professional in my final semester of Conestoga College's Bachelor of Public Relations.
I have a passion for sports and not-for-profits. I strive to utilize my knowledge and skills in media relations, social media, community relations, strategic planning, writing and editing, event planning, and creative design to help organizations identify and/or attain their public relations objectives.
I have extensive hands on experience in the sports industry, having worked with great organizations, such as:
I've also had the privilege of being involved with a breadth of other private and not-for-profit sector organizations in a public relations capacity, including:
Outside of work and school, I am heavily involved in my community. As a member of Leadership Waterloo's Youth on Board program, I am the mentee of a regional leader. I also volunteer weekly with Waterloo Region Track 3 and Special Olympics Ontario KW as a snowboard instructor to special needs children and a floor hockey coach, respectively. I play competitive hockey for the Waterloo Ravens Senior A women's hockey club. In my spare time, I enjoy healthy cooking, yoga, adventuring, reading, drawing, and DIY projects.
